This review is based solely on Greggs’ published allergen information. It reflects what the chain reports about the presence or possible cross-contact of the 14 major allergens. Please check Greggs’ official allergen guide directly, as ingredients and preparation practices may change. Greggs states that food and drinks are prepared in shop kitchens using shared equipment and ingredients, and that they cannot guarantee any food or hot or iced drink to be allergen-free. The allergen tables show widespread use of several allergens across breads, pastries, sweet bakery items, savouries, pizzas, sandwiches, and drinks. The guide displays clear β€œcontains” (βœ“) and β€œmay contain” (ο‚Ÿ) markings for each allergen. Some allergens appear throughout multiple categories, while others are used only in selected products or not at all. Cross-contact disclaimer: Greggs states: β€œWe use different ingredients in our kitchens and have shared equipment. Whilst we do our best to manage our food and ingredients, we cannot guarantee our food or hot drinks are allergen-free.” For drinks, Greggs also states: β€œDue to our equipment, we cannot guarantee our hot / iced drinks to be allergen-free.” Menu variability note: Allergen information may differ by region or location, and Greggs advises customers to check product information regularly as recipes and ingredients can change. Information reviewed as of: 30 November 2025 (Greggs Allergen Guide Version 12, 17.11.25).

I find Greggs to be very good at labelling their products in store for allergens and updated their allergy menu online. I've not seen any Greggs products that contain or may contain peanuts but have notice several that may contain or contain tree nuts, particularly around Christmas time when they have mince pies and Christmas cake. It's mainly the biscuits and croissants that are may contain.
